Yoi's Case Studies

The experience that I’m interested in is awareness. Sometimes when we are sitting in a coffee shop starring out on the road with an absent mind, even the people on the table next to you are having a loud conversation, we just can’t hear them. This is because we are unconscious. But if we take control of ourselves by closing our eyes and focus on hearing, we can hear the people next to us and even people at the table far away. Sometimes we live unconsciously, we autopilot our life. Sometimes you were at home and once you realized, you are at school already without knowing how you got there. So the experience of awareness could help us controlling our life, making decisions rather than doing something without thought.

I think the strategy of a casino and a shopping mall is a very good case study of awareness, because these spaces can make people unaware of spending money, it makes them enjoy spending their money without second thought.
